Hit Parade: Holton Pops 5 Hits Sunday, July 20th , 2025 At Victory Field, Jake Holton of the Nashville Sounds put on a hitting clinic. He banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and mauled the Indianapolis Indians pitching staff, but Nashville still came up short on the scoreboard. The Sounds went home with the 8-5 loss, in spite of a standout 5-hit performance from their first baseman. "Hey, it's great to get that many hits in a game, but it would have been nice to win the game, too," Holton said in the postgame interview. Jake Holton hit a two-run single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. To date this season, Holton is hitting .329 with 7 home runs. |
