Hitting Streak Still Alive for Richardson
Saturday, July 19th , 2025
The Amarillo Sod Poodles may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 10-7, to the San Antonio Missions, but Grant Richardson continued to hit like a god.
The left fielder collected 2 hits in 5 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 25 games.
"Richardson is playing great and is on fire right now," Sod Poodles manager said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Richardson was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Grant Richardson flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
Richardson is hitting at a .413 mark this season. His stats show 6 home runs, 26 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has played 26 games for the Sod Poodles.
