Alonso Blasts White Sox, Rockies Take Game 1, 13-3
The Colorado Rockies started the Round 4 in dominant fashion, blowing out the host Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field by a score of 13-3 and securing an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Rockies first baseman Pete Alonso was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 4.

A key moment came with two out in the top of the first. That's when Alonso hit a slider from Hunter Greene for a 2-run home run, putting Colorado up, 3-0.

"It's on me," said White Sox manager Bobby Kirkpatrick. "The guys I sent out there today were the wrong ones for the situation. I'll be sure to send the right ones out next time."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago.
