Olson Blasts Rockies, White Sox Take Game 2, 11-3
|
Chicago first baseman Matt Olson was the difference-maker for the White Sox in what turned into a shootout with the Colorado Rockies. Olson earned accolades after going 2-for-4 in the 11-3 White Sox win. With the victory, the White Sox moved into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.
Gunnar Henderson drove in one run against the Rockies. With the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Chicago in front, 4-3.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Olson.
Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday at Coors Field in Denver.
