The 4-3 Tampa Bay win over Baltimore was due in large part to David Fry. The Rays catcher went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs. The defeat makes Baltimore 57-41.

Christian Yelich, who finished 3rd in the AL in wins above replacement with 7.7 in 2019, had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With one out and the bases loaded, the Tampa Bay left fielder hit a run-scoring single. That put the Rays in front, 4-3.
