Thanks in large part to center fielder Alek Thomas, the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Chicago White Sox, 11-8. Thomas was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Seranthony Dominguez picked up the win in relief. Nick Mears took the loss for Chicago. Pittsburgh now sits at 46-54, while Chicago falls to 74-26.
