Yankees Show Nerve in Tight 4-3 Win

The New York Yankees put one in the win column with an opening day 4-3 triumph over the Milwaukee Brewers in 15 innings. The crowd at Yankee Stadium watched Bryce Miller put on a fine performance. New York reliever Jake Eder picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Marc Church was tagged with the loss.
With a runner on 3rd in the bottom of the tenth, Eloy Jimenez delivered the knockout blow when he hit a sacrifice fly to win it for New York. In the contest, Jimenez was 2 for 6 with 2 singles. He scored 2 runs.
"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Jeremiah Coggins.
