Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Los Angeles Angels home opener. Alex Wood started for the home team against Bobby Miller for the New York Mets. The Angels were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 5-1, New York. Bobby Miller, though, was impressive.

Bryan Reynolds, who finished 2nd in the NL in triples with 9 in 2022, helped out the New York cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder was 3-4 with 3 singles.

"I still think this team can play even better," Reynolds told the New York Observer.
