The Arizona Diamondbacks welcomed the Chicago Cubs to an night game at Chase Field.

The Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Chicago Cubs, 10-3. Arizona pitcher and Bakersfield, California, native Corbin Burnes led the way. Chicago drops to 2-2.

Ryan Jeffers had a big 3-run home run for the Diamondbacks in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Arizona leading 6-3 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Aaron Civale and swatted a home run to right. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Diamondbacks ahead, 9-3.

Jeffers told a Arizona News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
