Blue Jays Slap 9-2 Loss on Baltimore
|
The Baltimore Orioles and Toronto Blue Jays riveted fans at Rogers Centre.
Led by Kyle Schwarber, the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Baltimore Orioles, 9-2. Schwarber was 1-1 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Blue Jays. Sonny Gray got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1.
Mauricio Dubon hit a 2-run double off Logan Allen2 in the bottom of the second, which put the Blue Jays in front, 4-2. In addition to the double, Dubon had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"We're trying to go out there and win games," Schwarber told the Toronto Chronicle, "and we played pretty well tonight."
The Blue Jays, now 2-0, have hit the ground running this season.
