Orioles Take Down Blue Jays, 6-5
|
The Baltimore Orioles stopped the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-5, in 12 innings at Rogers Centre. The Orioles got a big game from Colton Cowser, who was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Erik Miller earned the save for Baltimore, his 1st of the year. The defeat makes Toronto 2-1.
Baltimore used the timely hitting of Jackson Merrill to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Orioles on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We didn't go down without a fight," said Toronto manager Robert Gray.
