Neto Heroics Not Enough in 9-7 Loss to Los Angeles
|
The Los Angeles Angels spoiled a good performance by San Francisco shortstop Zach Neto, bumping off San Francisco, 9-7, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Neto went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The loss lowers the San Francisco record to 2-2.
Ryan Mountcastle chipped in a grand slam home run for Los Angeles in the bottom of the first. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 RBI.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Angels manager Steph Villeneuve. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
