Royals Upend Brewers, 2-0
|
The Kansas City Royals beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 2-0, at Miller Park. Starting pitcher Shawn Dubin was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Matt Strahm earned save number 1. With the loss, Milwaukee sinks to 1-4.
The Royals got a big at-bat from center fielder Trent Grisham. For the game, Grisham was 1 for 4 with a double. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Kansas City a 1-0 lead.
Grisham attributed the win to "making big pitches in big moments."
