Storm Chasers Meckler Named AC's #1 Player Monday, July 21st , 2025 Omaha fans have something to crow about today as Omaha left fielder Wade Meckler nabbed the American Conference Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Meckler. He posted a .565 average (13-for-23) this past week with 1 home run, 6 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. This season, Meckler is batting .361 with 107 hits, 2 home runs, 36 RBIs, .415 OBP and has scored 51 runs. |
