Encarnacion Sizzles -- Smokes Dust Devils for 5 Hits Wednesday, July 16th , 2025 No matter what the Tri-City Dust Devils threw at him, Freili Encarnacion hit it. He easily handled Dust Devils pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Tourists triumph, 17-2, at Steeldogs Grove. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Encarnacion's quip, Dust Devils skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Freili Encarnacion hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and flied out in the 9th. Thus far this season, Encarnacion has hit .280 with 12 home runs, 60 RBIs and scored 41 times. |
