The future looks extremely bright for Peyton Wilson. At the age of 25, many players are still trying to find their way in A2.
Wilson has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Sub League 2 Most Valuable Player Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .347 this year, that's for sure," the second baseman said.
The Peoria Chiefs star also put up a .409 on-base percentage this year, with 172 hits, 43 doubles, 10 triples, 12 home runs, 82 RBIs and 105 runs scored.
He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Ethan Salas of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws finished second in voting, while Brandon Lockridge of the Brooklyn Cyclones finished third.

The manager of the Hickory Crawdads said he thinks Jett Williams is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 21, but it will be hard to top the second baseman's 2025 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the A League Most Valuable Player Award.
His winning campaign featured a .350 batting average and a .454 on-base percentage this year. In 122 games he piled up 156 hits, 34 doubles, 7 triples, 11 home runs, 82 RBIs and 90 runs scored.
He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Trey Lipscomb of the West Michigan Whitecaps finished second in voting, while Cooper Hummel of the Hudson Valley Renegades finished third.
