Top A Pitcher Announced Friday, October 24th , 2025 Nick Bitsko of the Hickory Crawdads was in command and couldn't do much wrong when he was on the mound this season. His outstanding 18-4 won-lost mark and 2.21 ERA were big factors in his winning the 2025 A League Pitcher of the Year Award. In 175.1 innings of work and 26 starts, Bitsko struck out 161 while giving up 145 hits and 61 walks. He held opposing batters to a .224 average. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jhancarlos Lara of the Hickory Crawdads finished second in voting, while Jedixson Paez of the Aberdeen Ironbirds finished third.
