Baltimore 2-1 Victors at Progressive Field
|
Baltimore starter Luis Ortiz put the Cleveland offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his fastball in leading the Orioles to a 2-1 win. The first-place Orioles have a one-game lead in their division.
Trevor Story delivered a big hit for Baltimore. The second baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Orioles ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"Luis was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Baltimore manager Craig Heckoff.
