Spirited fans greeted the Seattle Mariners for their clash with the Houston Astros.

The Houston Astros captured an easy win, 15-1, over the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field. Jesse Winker led the offensive barrage, going 3-for-6 for Houston. Roki Sasaki got the win, improving to 1-0. He held the Mariners to 1 run on 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 0.

Houston used a clutch at-bat from Daniel Vogelbach to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Astros ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
